Scott gets up at 4am to read the news so you don’t have to. Every morning he sends a short digest — one to three stories worth your time — and this is where those stories get argued about.
How the place works:
The 4AM Digest is the daily thread. Each morning’s digest becomes a topic, one a day. Read the stories first, then argue below.
Politics is where arguments go when they outgrow the story that started them. You need to have been around a little before you can post there — read the room first.
Open Floor is for everything else. Found a story worth sharing? It goes here.
Site Feedback is for questions and complaints about the site itself, including moderation. That’s what it’s for, so use it rather than derailing a thread.
A few things worth knowing up front: posts flagged by enough members hide themselves until a moderator looks. That’s a pause, not a verdict. New accounts have limits for the first few days. Regulars earn more abilities just by reading and participating — no application forms, no favorites.
Read first. Argue below. Play fair.
